Nestled in the foothills of the Vanoise mountains lies the historical Spa town of Bride-les-Bains. It is both a ski and spa resort with access to the world’s largest ski area as well as being one of France's leading Grand Spa des Alps without the usual high prices of a major resort and without the crowds.
There is a high speed Olympe gondola which takes you to the resort of Meribel in 25 minutes at 1600m from where you can ski the Trois Vallées. Brides Les Bains has an “Espace Detente” which is open in the evenings and in the mornings where you can benefit from the thermal Spa waters to ease away the aches and pains from a hard day on the slopes. There is also a cinema, 2 nightclubs, a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, a piano-bar and the only Casino in the 3 Vallées - all within 5 minutes walk. The new spa centre opened in 2005 and is open 7 days a week.
