With a new cable car system installed in recent years, this section of the mountain has truly been opened to winter sports enthusiasts, who have a variety of ski terrain to choose from: from easy beginner slopes to some more challenging runs, including the off piste for which the wider area is famed. Ski pass holders also have access to the rest of the Chamonix ski area, including Le Brevent, La Flegere, Les Grands Monets and Les Houches.
In summer there is also plenty to keep guests entertained, with the Aiguille Rouge nature reserve just a short distance away; a wonderful place to visit some stunning natural terrain, with opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing and even parapenting.
