Les Gets is one of the 12 villages that make up the remarkable Portes du Soleil ski area, which spans the French-Swiss border. This extensive ski terrain includes 650km of downhill pistes and 45km of cross country skiing, offering an almost inexhaustible selection of runs. Situated at an altitude of 1172m the resort enjoys great snow throughout the season.
It’s not only during the winter months that outdoor enthusiasts venture to Les Gets, however. The area is famous for the downhill mountain bike competitions that take place on the mountain during the summer months. Mt. Chéry was used in the Mountain Bike World Cup in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2003.
The compact and charming old farming village of Les Gets is made up of a mixture of old, distinctly Savoyard style chalets and tasteful modern buildings which have been designed to blend into the rural surroundings and add to the charm of the village. An outdoor ice rink contributes to the traditional alpine atmosphere in winter, whilst the snowy forests and picturesque tree-lined runs further enhance the tranquillity of this beautiful resort.
We also provide ski holidays in Les Gets.
