Montchavin, situated between La Plagne and Les Arcs, Montchavin enjoys an exceptional location at the heart of Paradiski, arguably the world’s biggest ski area. Located at the foot of La Plagne, just one lift links Montchavin to the Vanoise Express which connects La Plagne to the pistes of Les Arcs.
In the 1970’s Montchavin was transformed from a farming community in to a charming ski village and is one of the prettiest La Plagne villages with Savoyard style architecture. Fast and efficient lifts at the base of the village connect up with the rest of the Paradiski domain. Montchavin is ideal for small families or those who enjoy cosy and quiet Alpine surroundings combined with an extensive ski area. There are also snowmaking facilities to ensure season long snow coverage down to resort level.
The resort has restaurants and bars, a cinema, nightclub, shops and two ski schools. Just above is the newer resort village of Les Coches at 1450m, linked by lifts and a resort bus, with more restaurants and its own ski schools.
