Samoens, Flaine Grand Massif

Le Chateau sits in the cute village of Samoens, which is one of the five interconnecting resorts that form the Grand Massif. Other resorts included in this ski area are Flaine and Morillon, where good snow cover is almost guaranteed both early and late season. Grand Massif is France’s largest ski area, with terrain that covers over 265km of pistes with runs for every level of skier. The Grand Massif Express is only a 2 minute drive away and has ample parking space for all skiers. At the top of the GME is the brand new Chariande Express, which will whisk you to the top of the Saix and connect you with the rest of the Grand Massif ski area in minutes.

The actual stone-built chateau is 400 years old, but underwent complete renovations in 2006-2008 with new bathrooms, kitchen, boiler and much more. It can sleep up to 18 people, with seven en-suite bedrooms and a living room. The house also has a sauna and two of the bathrooms are equipped with Jacuzzi baths to soothe your muscles after a long day of skiing. The main living space is on the first floor, split into three main interconnecting rooms from formal, semi-formal to TV room/library. The two inner-rooms are especially cosy, sharing a double-sided log fire place. The formal dining room opens onto a gorgeous south facing terrace, catching the sun on even dark days. This traditional room is next to an ultra-modern kitchen, complete with breakfast bar, creating a fantastic fusion of different styles. All of the bedrooms, main living space and kitchen are also equipped with Sky HD and wifi is available throughout the entire chateau. Lastly, this stunning chateau is unique in its furnishings made up of classical and antique pieces, the walls are hung with some great artwork to individualize the house and make it more your own.
